About Elk Mountain Landworks
Rooted in the Roaring Fork Valley
Elk Mountain Landworks specializes in landscape construction, planting, stonework and garden care throughout Aspen, Snowmass and the surrounding Roaring Fork Valley.
We believe beautiful landscapes should feel naturally connected to their surroundings. From carefully crafted outdoor spaces to established gardens requiring attentive care, our work combines practical experience, skilled craftsmanship and a deep understanding of Colorado's mountain environment.
Whether building a landscape from the ground up or caring for one over time, we take pride in creating outdoor spaces that are beautiful, functional and built to last.
Led by Local Experience
Born and raised in Snowmass Village, owner Zac Paris brings more than 20 years of experience in the Roaring Fork Valley landscaping industry.
His background spans landscape construction, stonework, planting, irrigation and project management, giving him a comprehensive understanding of how mountain landscapes come together.
Zac is also QWEL-certified and permaculture-certified, reflecting his commitment to thoughtful landscape practices, efficient water use and working with the natural environment.
Planting & Garden Expertise
Great landscapes are brought to life through thoughtful planting and ongoing care.
Our team's experience includes the specialized planting knowledge of Judy, whose work alongside Zac was featured on HGTV's Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House.
From selecting plants suited to Aspen's growing conditions to maintaining established gardens, we understand the importance of healthy soil, seasonal interest and creating landscapes that mature beautifully over time.
Planting and garden services formerly known as Notable Plantings are now part of Elk Mountain Landworks.
